Let's connect on social media:

The second Between Two Fermenters event happened last night at the East End Brewery tap room in the Strip.

The event was a discussion led by Jason Cercone of Breaking Brews beer blog,  Scott Smith of East End Brewing, Kate Romane of Black Radish Kitchen catering company (formerly the chef/owner of E2),  Peter Kurzweg of Hidden Harbor, and Rachel Carlson of Yelp.

Black Radish Kitchen made some delicious chili with all of the fixins, and everyone enjoyed a cup and a brew and talked about the ever-changing drink and food scene in Pittsburgh.

Topics covered included: the evolution of Pittsburgh's beer and food scene, why Pittsburgh is emerging now, how/where to get the freshest beer, why we cant get good beer in our sporting complexes, the influence of social media on restaurants and... uh, by this point I had consumed three beers and things are a bit hazy.

Everyone had an awesome time... as you can see above, beer was flowing freely.  If you are interested in Pittsburgh's emerging food/drink scene, and want to take part in a discussion of link-minded, cool Yinzers, keep an eye out for the next discussion!  I will be sure to post about it when it comes around.  Here are some pictures...
